Teaching Pattern
The module will be taught by a combination of lectures and
seminars
Lectures are aimed at introducing the theoretical part of
the topic and an overall summary of the key material for
each topic.
Seminars are designed to blend the theory and practice
and provide students with real-life cases and examples.

Learning Outcomes
1. Critically evaluate contemporary issues in International
economics which are dealt with by economists working in
both government and private industry.
2. Evaluate the appropriateness of different trade models and
their implications for closed and open economies.
3. Assess the effects of cross-border movements of capital and
labor on recipient and origin countries;
4. Analyze the relationships between economic growth and
international trade.
5. Apply relevant theories to analyze the key issues related to
exchange rates and open-economy macroeconomics
