Assay Protocol ImportingIn this chapter are described the procedures to import a new assay protocol
on the
Liaison® XL.
Assay Protocol Importing from USB Flash drive
Here after it is described the procedure to import on the system an Assay
Protocol using an USB Flash drive, once it has been downloaded from
DiaSorin Web Site.

Select the “Definition-Assay” page. This page lists all the previously loaded assays.18.
Press the “Import” button, which is below the list of assays. The “Select File” window isprompted.
Note: the system will not allow assay import if it is either in status Maintenance, Resuming, Service or Running.

Click on the “Path” pick-list. A list with the available paths from which to retrieve assays isshown. They include:
E:\LXL\V31
F:\
G:\
D:\LiaisonXL\Share

Ensure to have a USB storage device inserted into one of the system USB ports.Then:
select the F:\ path; a list of the available files present in the USB storage device is shown in
the “Existing Files” table
select the desired file
press the “Store” button
Notes:
•multiple selection is not allowed
•in case no files are shown, use the
G:\ path
•use the scroll arrows in case the
desired file exceeds the bottom
limit of the window

Method File Importing from USB Flash drive
Here after it is described the procedure to import on the system a Method
File using an USB Flash drive, once it has been downloaded from
DiaSorin Web Site.

Insert the USB Flash drive, containing the assay file(s) to be imported, into a USB
Port (either on the front of the PC or the back of the PC)
From the LIAISON® SW, click on:

The following window will appear and the path “E:\” will automatically be listed. The assaysfound on the USB will be listed in the selection box. Select the appropriate assay file, and press
OK.

Insert the USB Flash drive, containing the assay file(s) to be imported, into a USB Port
(either on the front of the PC or the back of the PC)
Using “Window Explorer” check the path of the USB of Flash Driver (for example G:\)
