The Monument "Tsar Fish" in Krasnoyarsk
The "Tsar Fish" is a famous and interesting monument in the city
of Krasnoyarsk in Siberia. You can find it on a high hill, a viewing
platform, next to the great Yenisei River. A local artist and
blacksmith, Konstantin Zinich, created this sculpture in 2004. He
was inspired by a book with the same name, "Tsar Fish", written
by a well-known Siberian writer, Viktor Astafyev. The book talks
about the relationship between people and nature.
The monument itself is a large statue of a sturgeon fish. This
type of fish is called the "king" or "tsar" of Siberian rivers. The
fish is made of metal, and it looks very powerful. It is caught on a
big hook, and its body is curved in a strong movement. It looks
like the fish is fighting for its life. The sculpture is very detailed,
with many metal parts that look like fish scales.
This monument is interesting for many reasons. First, it is very
beautiful and impressive to see. Second, it is not just art; it has a
deep meaning. The "Tsar Fish" is a symbol. It reminds people to
respect nature and protect the environment. It shows that people
and nature are connected. The statue makes visitors think about
their responsibility to the world around them. Because of this, it
is a very important and popular place in Krasnoyarsk.
