Installation Procedure
9.
Snubbing and Logging Adapter Installation Procedure1. Connect the snubbing and logging adapter as
follows:
A. Drain the BTR RCD via the 2-inch line or
via the 7-1/16-inch gate valve.
B. Remove the master bushings.
C. Install a safety barrier around the rotary
table.
D. Operate the BTR RCD latches and open
the latch to remove the bearing assembly
(or protective sleeve) installed previously.
E. Pick up the logging adapter and connect it
to the snubbing adapter to form the
snubbing and logging adapter assembly
(Figure 1).
Note: For clarification, after connecting the snubbing adapter
[2] and logging adapter [1], the connected components are
referred to as the snubbing and logging adapter assembly..
F. Connect the casing connection with the
logging adapter; if the connection is
different between the casing connection
and the logging adapter, a crossover
would be required for making the
connection.

Snubbing and Logging Adapter Installation Procedure2.
Install the snubbing and logging adapter
assembly as follows (while referring to Figure
2):
A.
Guide the snubbing and logging
adapter assembly [1 & 2] through the
rotary table and slowly land it into the
BTR RCD body assembly [3].
B.
Verify that the snubbing and logging
adapter assembly is fully seated in the
body assembly, and then close the
latch.
Close the 2-inch valve and 7-1/16-inch
valve on the BTR RCD.
Proceed to pressure test the wireline
lubricator per rig or loggers procedure.
C.
D.
Note: The pressure test value is dependent on
the casing connection connected to the logging
adapter.
