We put a cuff on 17*28*5,5 for testing. When installed in the lid, the seal was
pressed very tightly. 0.25 mm did not reach the end, part of the rubber was
squeezed out after pressing (photo attached). The nest and pressing were carried
out according to the recommendations, i.e. H8 fit, roughness Ra 0.2 - 0.3
microns, entrance chamfer. The seal was pressed in without lubrication. Then the
working edge was lubricated with the recommended lubricant. What could be the
reason for the rubber squeezing ?

10. The same seal was tested 17*28*5,5 under the conditions under which it
operates on the machine: 630 rpm, pressure 45 bar. (According to calculations,
the linear velocity is 0.56 m/s, the permissible pressure depending on PV = 45 is
up to 80 bar). She worked at the stand at a pressure of 45 bar. The control check
time is 16 hours. A leak was detected on the seal. What could be the cause of the
leak ?

11. The seal 28,56*42*4,72 it was installed by pre-lubricating the outer diameter of
the seal and the groove with oil (working fluid). The seal was pressed with
medium force and reached the end of the groove with its rubber protrusion. There
is no rubber extrusion. Do I need to pre-lubricate the seal before pressing? Due
to the presence of this protrusion, the metal frame of the seal does not come into
contact with the body (0.03 mm gap). Is this the norm or is it necessary to ensure
the contact of the metal frame of the cuff with the body of the hydraulic motor ?
In addition to applying grease to the sealing lip, it is recommended to pre-lubricate
both the housing bore and the outer diameter of the seal before installation.
If the seal does not fully fit against the bore after assembly, one possible cause
may be interference between the seal chamfer and the inner R radius of the bore.
