What is GreenEdge?
GreenEdge automates the data collection
and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions for
BUs and supplies a near real-time
environmental footprint tracking system for
companies to reduce their climate impact.
The GreenEdge portal
supports:
Live and automated reporting of the
environmental impact for each
organizational- and business unit
Set up and follow-up of an
environmental budget
Aggregation of report data and actions
throughout the entire enterprise
management structure.

GreenEdge terminology
Organization
Organizations represents a hieratical structure of an enterprise as well as the dashboard navigation of
GreenEdge. Organizations can have many business units but cannot be managed within GreenEdge.
Business unit
A Business unit represents a managed legal entity and is the center of GreenEdge in that all emissions
belong to business units. Business units can only be managed by its members.
Sites
Sites represents physical facilities such as offices, warehouses and stores. Business units can have
many sites, while sites can be shared with other business units

GreenEdge terminology
Emission source
Emission sources represent sources of pollution. They can be collected, measured and categorized.
Emission sources are defined once, but can be used by many business units
Emission source factor
The factor is used to convert the original unit of an emission source into CO2-e.
Goal
A goal is defined by a reduction of emissions from a start year to an end year
Baseline
The total amount of GHG emissions for a business unit at the start year of the goal
