affected the world

2.

History of the invention
• The first wheels appeared around 3500 BC in
Mesopotamia (modern Iraq). Initially, they were not used
for transport, but for a potter's wheel.
• Over time, the wheel's design improved: the appearance
of spokes made it lighter and stronger, and the use of iron
hoops increased wear resistance.

3.

Impact on transport
The wheel has become the basis for all types of transport:
Carts and carts made it possible to transport heavy loads over long distances.
Cars — without wheels, there would be no modern cars.
Trains — railway trains use wheels to move quickly along the rails.
Airplanes — Although airplanes fly, their landing gear is also equipped with wheels
for takeoff and landing.

4.

Impact on industry
• wheel has become a key element in the development of the industry:
• Machine tools and mechanisms — wheels are used in gears that transmit
motion in machines.
• Conveyors — they allow you to automate production.
• Wind and water mill wheels convert water and wind energy into useful work.

5.

Modern meaning
• Today, the wheel is used everywhere:
• Bicycles and scooters are an environmentally friendly and
convenient way to travel.
• Robots and wheel drones help them navigate.
• Space technology — wheels are used in rovers to explore
other planets.
• The invention of the wheel had a profound impact on the
world, making it easier to move goods and becoming the
basis for many technologies.
