Ancient people made it 5000 years ago.
The wheel helps to move heavy things.
First cars, bikes, and trains all use wheels.
Without the wheel, we have no transport.

3. Paper

PAPER
Chinese people invented paper. Before
paper, people wrote on stones or wood. It
was difficult. Paper is cheap and light. Now
we can write, draw, and make books. Paper
is very important for school and work.

4. The Light Bulb

THE LIGHT BULB
Thomas Edison invented the light bulb in
1879. Before the light bulb, people used
candles. It was dark and dangerous. Edison
gave us electric light. Now we can work
and read at night. The light bulb is safe and
useful.

5. Penicillin

PENICILLIN
Alexander Fleming discovered penicillin in
1928. It was an accident. Penicillin is the
first antibiotic. It kills bad bacteria in our
body. Before this discovery, a small cut
could be dangerous. Now doctors save
many lives with penicillin.

THE INTERNET
Tim Berners-Lee created the World Wide
Web in 1989. The Internet is a modern
invention. Now we can send emails instead
of letters. We can find information in one
second. We can watch videos and talk to
friends who live far away.

7. My Favourite Invention

MY FAVOURITE INVENTION
My favourite invention is the mobile phone.
It is small and easy to use. I can call my
mum and send messages to my friends. It
has a camera, maps, and the Internet. I
think the mobile phone is the one of the
best invention because it helps me and
other prople every day.
