The global practice of UAV development shows a real surge against the background of the use of unmanned complexes
in industrial sectors. Agriculture and geodesy are already habitually using modern technological solutions in their work. The
construction sector, safety, emergency response and fire fighting are on the way. The latter, based on emerging firehazardous situations, the need for rapid response and accurate planning of actions, focus on unmanned aerial vehicles as a
convenient and fast tool for deploying and solving operational issues. So, what is the peculiarity of extinguishing fires and
eliminating emergencies with the help of drones, what characteristics do different models differ and what are their
advantages?
Fire situations have their own characteristics. Fire extinguishing is linked directly to time intervals. The first and initial is
gorenje before the detection of fire. When a fire alarm is received, the next stage is called the fact of fire. The next one is the
departure of the task force to the field, which takes some time. Next is the detection of the source of the fire, or in another
way, the source of the fire, reconnaissance of the area and directly extinguishing the fire. The last stage is considered to be
the elimination of combustion foci, then — ambush. gorenje. This method includes patrolling fire-affected areas in order to
control, prevent re-ignition when it is detected. It is clear that the larger the area covered by fire, the more complicated the
processes become, the more time it takes to extinguish the fire and eliminate the consequences.

USING DRONES TO FIRE SAFETY
The use of guided aircraft is effective in extinguishing fires in large
areas. High rates of such equipment were recorded during
wildfires in California, large-scale fires due to heat in the central
part of South America, fires of taiga forests in Siberia and the Far
East in 2021, where more than 17 million hectares burned in less
than two months. From a high altitude, the pilots explore the
territories, assess the scale, extinguish fires with tanks installed on
the Be-200 and An-32. The main problems of using airplanes and
helicopters are the high cost, weather conditions and response
time of 3 hours (ship preparation, refueling, flight from the
runway to the place of ignition). In this regard, unmanned aerial
vehicles are an alternative both in extinguishing fires and fires in
forests, fields and open areas, and in urban conditions. Airplanes
are not used in urban conditions at all.

Additional specialized UAV equipment
Additional specialized UAV equipment
With the help of drones, you can quickly obtain up-to-date information about the
type of fire, localization and areas, external factors (wind speed, direction, and others)
to assess the possible further spread of fire, including in the direction of settlements,
search for people, assess damage to infrastructure, analyze the situation after a fire
and forensic examination. Innovative in this regard is the possibility of equipping the
UAV with special sensors that allow you to collect and analyze information in more
detail and accurately.
UAVs are equipped with thermal imaging sensors, atmospheric and multi-wave
aerosol lidar complexes to assess and analyze the movement of aerosol particles in
the air. DIAL lidars are used to measure chemical concentrations - ozone, water vapor,
and polluting particles in the atmosphere. Radiometers are used in complex accidents
at nuclear power plants and gas stations, where it is necessary to detect incandescent
gases and detect explosions

The future of the sphere
Devastating forest fires, fires at infrastructure facilities, industrial enterprises,
difficult terrain and territorial location fires or fires in urban environments are
becoming more commonplace all over the world. The dynamics in the number of fires
is not decreasing, and every year fires destroy hectares of land and infrastructure
worth billions of dollars. In this regard, fire and rescue services are increasingly using
innovative technologies in their work, which serve not only as an effective tool for
fighting fire, but also prove useful in investigating the causes of fires, searching for
culprits and further analyzing the situation to prevent repeated fires.
Technologies include automated systems, suspensions and sensors, “smart”
enterprise security systems, unmanned aerial vehicles and computer systems. Drones
have already proved their usefulness in practice, fire brigades are increasingly using
them today to quickly re-

Search and Rescue Operations
Drones with thermal cameras can detect heat signatures and provide
valuable insights into the location of hotspots and potentially trapped
individuals. By capturing thermal images, the drones assist in
identifying areas with intense heat and guiding rescue teams to
prioritize their efforts effectively.
This technology is particularly beneficial in situations where visibility is
limited due to smoke or darkness, enabling search and rescue teams to
locate and rescue individuals more efficiently. Thermal drones enhance
the overall effectiveness and safety of firefighting search and rescue
operations.

7.

Emergency Communication and Coordination
Aerial firefighting drones also play a crucial role in facilitating communication and
coordination among different teams and agencies involved in firefighting operations.
In remote or disaster-stricken locations where communication infrastructure might be
damaged or non-existent, drones equipped with communication devices can act as
relay points.
They establish a network that enables firefighters and other responders to
communicate with each other and with the incident command center. This
communication capability ensures a smooth flow of information, enhances
coordination and improves the overall effectiveness of the firefighting efforts.

Best Drones in Firefighting
In this section, we will list some of the best drones designed specifically
for firefighting, highlighting their capabilities and the benefits they bring
to fire departments and the overall fire service:
JOUAV CW-15 VTOL - Best Autonomous Fire Fighting Drone
JOUAV CW-30E VTOL - Best Long Endurance Drone for Fire Fighting
JOUAV PH-7E Quadcopter - Best Fire Search and Rescue Drone
Jocloud - Make Smarter Drone Operations in Firefighting
Jocloud is a hardware-independent cloud platform designed to enhance
drone operations, particularly in firefighting scenarios. It supports various
drone models, such as JOUAV and DJI, enabling users to connect their
drones to a cloud-based application.
