Hardware Error Analysis--Barcode readerBarcode reader affected 1.25% of total TAR in September
From supplier’s analysis of broken barcodes, confirmed CMOS sensor
failed.
Below are recommended solution to improve Barcode reader
availability:
1) Turn off green aimer and only make red light always on, this
working mode already installed in all online machines
2) Prepare more and enough spare barcode reader locally which
allow to replace barcode reader once it’s broken
3) Power off machines which are not working for 24 hours during the
non-operational time
4) Test Mindeo barcode ES4650-SR, we already developed SP and
barcode holder to support it.

Hardware Error Analysis--Upper Unit JamUpper Unit Jam affected 0.73% of total TAR in Sep
By checking log, video and making detailed
investigation, more than 80% of Upper units jam
cases were caused by mal-operations by customers
Below are recommended solutions to reduce Upper
Unit Jam cases:
1) Suggest Kaspi to provide pictures, animation to
guide customers to operate ATM properly. Kaspi
added new voice instruction and tested on
machines, but looks like it doesn’t help
2) Suggest branch manager or teller teach and
instruct customers to be familiar with ATM
operation

Hardware Error Analysis -- Non Operational CassettesNon Operational Cassettes affected 0.79% of total
TAR in September
Using unqualified cassettes by cash center, violent
transportation and improper operation by CIT are the
root cause.
Can’t lock
Skew
Below are recommended solutions to reduce Non
Operational Cassettes cases:
1) Check cassettes before loading to make sure
cassettes themselves are qualified
2) Need CIT to operate and transit properly according
to the instruction
3) Need CIT to assign more engineers to implement
encashment in time to reduce breakdown time
4) Prepare more and enough spare cassettes for
circulating

Hardware Error Analysis--AC FullAC full Cassettes affected 0.47% of total TAR in
September
Below are recommended solutions to improve AC
availability:
1) Check cassettes before loading to make sure
cassettes themselves are qualified
2) Repair teeth broken AC/RC, can reduce retract
and dispense reject notes to AC, refer to next
slide
3) Need CIT to assign more engineers to replace
AC in time when it’s full
4) Test new AC with higher capacity, use them in
the near future which can decrease the
frequency of AC full

Hardware Error Analysis-- Cassette JamCassette Jam affected 0.34% of total TAR in September
By checking log and making detailed investigation, most
cassette Jam by using unqualified cassettes with broken
teeth. Cassettes teeth was broken by violent
transportation and improper operation by CIT or cash
center. AC/RC can still work after teeth were broken, but
they can easily cause Jam.
Below are recommended solutions to reduce Cassettes
Jam and increase availability:
1) Check cassettes before loading to make sure
cassettes themselves are qualified without teeth
broken
2) Need CIT and cash center to operate and transit
cassettes properly
3) Need CIT to assign more engineers to replace
cassettes in time when cassettes are Jam

Temporary Solution
① first use cutting nippers to cut the
broken teeth.
② use file and abrasive paper to make the
surface very smooth

Hardware Error Analysis--No network, No city powerNo network affected 0.36% of total TAR in September, and No city power
affected 0.16% of total TAR in September
Network and City Power are not related to ATM hardware. It’s incorrect to
count them for hardware error, should be excluded from downtime
From August, Bank agreed and chose Atyrau as a pilot group to use new
formula to exclude no network and no city power.
Highly recommend bank to implement the new formula for whole machines.

On 18 August, a total of 137 machines without ticket which TAR
lower than 96%. No ticket means that Neoservice engineer do
not know what happened on those machines, and could not fix
the HW error timely.
It’s incorrect to count all related downtime by hardware error,
should be excluded.
Below are recommended solutions to reduce No ticket issues:
1) Bank should investigate the rout cause and optimize the
ticket procedure, and report ticket properly
2) Need CIT to assign more engineers to implement
encashment in time, and report to Bank/Neoservcie in
case of any error
3) Need Neoservice to pay more attention on those machines
with low TAR everyday, and make improvement plan on
second day
