English and Russian Pinocchio

1.

English and Russian Pinocchio
Relevance of the research work: I found out that there is a prototype of Buratino – a wooden Pinocchio doll
from a fairy tale by the Italian writer Carlo Collodi, but I have never read this fairy tale.
The object of my research: fairy tales by Carlo Collodi and Alexey Nikolaevich Tolstoy based on the book
and cartoon.
Subject of research: fairy tales "The Golden Key, or the Adventures of Pinocchio" by Alexei Nikolaevich
Tolstoy and "The Adventures of Pinocchio" by Carlo Collodi.
The purpose of the study: to identify the similarities and differences between the fairy tales. Analyze the plot
of fairy tales. Compare the images of the main characters – Buratino and Pinocchio; Conduct a survey among
classmates and find out what phrases in English are similar to the Russian version, as well as their opinion
about the heroes;
In my research I used such methods:- study of fiction and Internet sites on the topic;- a survey among
classmates;- compilation of comparative tables.
Hypothesis: I assume that the fairy tale "The Golden Key, or the Adventures of Pinocchio" by A.N. Tolstoy
was written based on the work of Carlo Collodi. It can not be considered either a translation or a retelling of
the tale of Pinocchio. The first cartoon shot in English is suitable for learning English, because the characters
speak British English, where everything is very clear.

I like reading fairy tales very much! And also I love watching movies of these fairy tales!
One day I watched “Pinocchio” (English variant). It looked like a cartoon about
“Buratino” (Russian variant). I would like to understand whether it is possible to learn
English based on the comparison of two cartoons. I wanted to learn the difference
between the two plots and characters.
Many people confuse Pinocchio and Buratino, their authors when reading fairy tales. I
decided to explore the difference between Buratino and Pinochio.
Birthday of Pinocchio and Buratino.
Did you know that there are two "twin brothers" - two wooden boys Pinocchio and
Buratino in the fairyland where all the heroes of fairy tales live?

First of all, at the beginning of my exploration, I gave a fragment of these fairy tales to
different pupils without the name. Then they gave the name to the fairy tales by confusing their
titles. They said that these two fairy tales are identical. That is why I want to begin from
comparing two stories.
