Electro swing

3.

Electro swing is an
electronic dance music genre
that combines the influence
of vintage or modern swing
and jazz mixed with house
and hip hop.

4.

Electro swing groups
typically include singers,
musicians playing
traditional jazz instruments
(e.g. trumpet, trombone,
clarinet, saxophone) and
at least one DJ.

5.

It is claimed that the genre originated in the
early 1990's era of sampling old records from
the swing era and revitalizing them with hip hop
beat structures.
In the 2010s, on top of the commercial success
of tracks like We No Speak Americano and Why
Don't You, electro swing found a decent
following around the world.

11.

The saxophone (referred to colloquially as the sax) is a
family of woodwind instruments usually made of brass.
[The saxophone has always been made of brass since it was first
invented. Because of the principles by which it produces sound,
however, it is classified as a woodwind, much like the clarinet and flute.]
A saxophone has a conical metal (originally brass) tube
with about 24 openings controlled by padded keys; the
mouthpiece is similar to that of a clarinet.

12.

The saxophone is used in wide range of musical
styles including classical music (such as concert
bands, chamber music, solo repertoire, and,
occasionally, orchestras), military bands,
marching bands, jazz, and contemporary music.
The saxophone is also used as a solo and melody
instrument or as a member of a horn section in
some styles of rock and roll and popular music.

13.

The saxophone is only a few instruments in wide use today known to
be invented by a single individual. His name is Adolphe Sax: that is
why it is called the saxophone.
History tells us that Adolphe Sax (1814 - 1894) was a musical
instrument designer born in Belgium who could play many wind
instruments. His idea was to create an instrument that combined the
best qualities of a woodwind instrument with the best qualities of a
brass instrument, and in the 1840s he conceived the saxophone.
This invention was patented in Paris in 1846.
