1. The 2nd of November. It’s Monday today. The theme of our lesson is the printed mass media.

2. First of all, let’s answer some of my questions.

Do it in writing.

3. Now it’s high time to learn new words. It’s ex. 4 p. 54. Read and write down them into your vocabularies. Listen to the

taperecorder!
Read and translate orally under the letter B.
Pay your attention!
1) to fail to do smth- провалиться в попытке делая что-либо
2) to fail an exam – провалить экзамен
3) to say smth in a whisper or in whispers – говорить шепотом

4. Now let’s work with new words.

• Translate from English into Russian :
a power source, a cheerful smile, a strange person, a
truly fascinating country, a children’s author, to do
something rarely.
• Translate from Russian into English :
Странное место, источник информации,
захватывающая книга, неунывающий человек,
известный автор, сказать что-нибудь шепотом
