10. Urkund service Further information: http://www.urkund.com

Lahti University of Applied Sciences has implemented a service against
plagiarism (URKUND by PrioInfo Ab).Before the publishing seminar the
student must send a document written in word processor to the e-mail
address given by the supervising lecturer. The service sends a
confirmation message to student. The service sends analysis data which
presents similarities compared to source material to supervising lecturer.
The thesis is sent to the service only once and it remains in the database
to be used as comparison material. Thus also the thesis is protected
against plagiarism.
When you get the permission from your supervisor you are supposed to
send your thesis manuscript to this service so it will provide the report
and your supervisor will pass it to you.
The address where to send the text is the following:
[email protected]
You can also get more information from the information center / [email protected]
