Russia's oldest technical university, and
one of the oldest technical colleges in
Europe
It was founded on October 21, 1773, by
Empress Catherine the Great.

2. Mining Museum

The Mining Museum is housed in the
building of the Mining University. It is an
integral part of the University, and
occupies its very best historical
ceremonial halls.
There are more than 230,000 exhibits,
collected from all over the world (more
than 80 countries).
