software)
IsoMatch Power = Supplies electrical power to spreader and Iso Match Tellus
Spreader is a 100% standard ISO machine!
The IsoMatch Tellus/ IsoMatch Power is conferting a non Iso tractor into a Iso
tractor.
Only one cable connection between tractor and spreader, the ISO-cable
provides the transport of power and communication signals.
After connecting ISO-plug from the spreader into the ISO-connector of the
tractor, al the information and operating functions appear at the tractors
terminal.
If no terminal in the cabin is available, the system could also work with a Tellus
terminal instead of the tractors terminal, but therefore the Tellus terminal should
be connected to the CAN-Bus of the tractor. (special cable necessary)

“Diagnostic screen” (See § 2.2.4 shows the value of the
inductive sensor. You can find this value behind RPM,
normally when it is not turning, this value should be zero.
When the discs are turning, the sensor measures the
changes in the magnetic field in front of the sensor from the
bolt or roller pin.

3. Sensor and actuatorsWhen this sensor is facing any metal, it gives a signal (+) but it also shows it with a LED on the sensor.
When it faces metal, the LED is burning. When it does not, LED should be off.
Check if you see two pulses per rotation.
Testing an inductive sensor
To test the sensor:
Check 12V power supply: measure between Brown (+) & Blue

The angle of the hopper has influence on the output of the load cells. The reference sensor
is able to measure this angle. By knowing this value, the spreader can correct the
deviation of the hopper weight.
The reference sensor can be checked in the “Diagnostics” screen.
(see §2.2.4)
The value of the ref. sensor (ref. weight) is showed.
By changing the angle of the hopper, this value should also change.

3. Sensor and actuatorsIf the signal of the load cell is not correct or is not responding on any weight changes in the hopper please follow the steps below.
Step 1
Go to the diagnostic screen of the spreader (See § 2.2.4)
Step 2
Check the signal and look for normal value change by pushing on the hopper. (Empty hopper signal must be
between the 800 and 1200 pulses with empty machine).
Step 3
Disconnect three load cells from the PCB. (See § 3.3 or 3.4) The signal now shown in the diagnostic screen is the
signal from this connected load cell. Check this separate load cell signal and check if it is responding on weight
changes in the hopper.
Step 4
Disconnect the first tested load cell and connect the next one. (test all load cell signals one by one)
Step 5
If one of the load cells is giving a wrong signal or is not responding on any weight changes in the hopper disconnect this load cell from the machine.
Step 6
Disconnect all the load cells from the PCB
Connect red and black wire of the “broken” loadcell on the PCB (See §3.3 or 3.4 ). Measure the voltage
between the green and white wire. (Signal wires)

3. Sensor and actuators3.5.1 Check &testing the load cell
The signal of the load cells can be checked in screen “Diagnostics” (See § 2.2.4) but also in screen “hopper & act calibration”. There you will find, in the first column,
the actual value of the sensor and in the second column the stored value of the last calibration.
The Loadcells should have a power supply of about 10V. Their
output signal will change if the supplied input power is varying! A
steady input power is therefore even more important!
Screen “Diagnostics” shows the actual signal of the load cells, by
changing the weight of the hopper this value should react.
The Loadcell value shown is the total of all connected load cells!
Shortcut in sensor (connections):

65535
In this screen you see the calculated load cell value
This value can give you an indication which of the load cells is damaged.
The standard values must be around the 500.
As soon if the calculated values are out of the range of 400-680 a load cell alarm will pop up.
In the example above load cell 4 gives the problem.
Warning
Because it is a calculated value it gives not a 100% diagnostic you can use this function for a
quick check.

3. Sensor and actuators3.6 Actuators
The four actuators are placed under the hopper of the spreader;
they take care of the opening and closing of the dosing unit.

Then there is the possibility that the motor is stuck in its housing. Please follow up
the instruction below:
When the potential meter is not giving the correct signal. The potential meter
has to be repaced.
For replacement repairkit VNB0566173 can be ordered in Metz spare parts
warehouse.
1. Disassemble the motor housing (picture 1)
2. Pull out the complete motor (Be carefull for the cables. (picture 1
3. Pull out the engine out of the gearbox. (picture 2)

4. Calibrations4.2 Hopper calibration: weighing principle all models (Pincode 5)
The Pin 5 calibration has to be done after adding additional weight to a machine. (Like a hopper extension)
Or if the weight offset to 0 is bigger than 25 kg.
After adding an extra hopper extension the empty hopper weight will change. For this reason, the weighing system must know the following information.
The Pincode 5 calibration will only give access to 2 steps of the calibration process.
1. The empty weight of the hopper
2. The corresponding load cell value for an empty hopper
For a good and succesfull Pin 5 calibration please follow the steps below.
Step 1 Adjust the machine horizontal behind tractor.

6. Implement setting GEO ControlImplement settings GEOcontrole
For a good working of the machine in combination with Geocontrol there has to be
done settings on the machine side.
The information has to be filled in the screens below.
Task controlling
Storing field internally or externally
Variable rate possibility (behind licence key)
Spreader control on/off(behind licence key)
Licence key number
Number of active sections
Working width of section.
Centre section and other sections
Number of sections
TC FnI
Adjustment: trailed or mounted model . (Always mounted)
A Distance of receiver to the hart of the implement
B Distance from the connection point of the tractor to the hart of the spreading pattern.
Time latency (openings delay of the actuators) must be 0.5 sec.
65
66.
6. Implement setting GEO Control6.1 Calculating B distance (When not available in spreading chart)
For a good calculation of the B distance we have to understand how the spreading pattern behavior.
Check the examples below.
Working width 18m
B distance is 9m from hard of the
spreading pattern and connection point
Working width 24m
B distance is 12m from hard of the
spreading pattern and connection point
Working width 27m
What you see is that the max distance to the hard of the
spreading pattern is 14m This because if the working width will
climb then the fertilizer will go more to the side instead of to the
back.
So the B distance is 0.5X working width Till 27m working width
Above 27m working width, it is always 14m.
B distance is 14m from hard of the
spreading pattern and connection point
Working width 36m
B distance is 14m from hard of the
spreading pattern and connection point
66
67.
6. Implement setting GEO Control6.2 B setting under field conditions
In the Geocontrol manual is mentioned 2 different formulas.
B distance is 0.5X working width.
B distance is 0.5 X working width -7.
To explain the difference please check the examples below.

Extra information.
Because in some crops it is not
possible to drive in a straight line
to the boundary you have to make
the turn on the first tramline.
But in cases of a small working
width and a long tractor the
distance is too short to make
automatically switching possible. In
these cases, you have to use the
following formula:
0.5 x times working widthtractor length.

Load cell alarm. This alarm will pop up if the calculated resistance in the PCB is not according to the standard
specs. (This will also show up if an EW machine is set to 4 load cells
For more information see the print screen below.
In this screen you can find the calculated load cell values. (These are NOT counts)
Normally the values must be around 500
If the values will go out the following range 400-680 the alarm above will pop up.
Working width is at 0. This indicated that the sections are set to 0. As soon as you now start the machine this
alarm will pop up.
