2. Leaning Tower of Pisa

The Leaning Tower of Pisa (Tuscany, Italy) is the

Leaning Tower of Pisa began.

construction of the stone tower was frozen for a
whole century - until 1272.

Colosseum, as well as more than 1
million animals.

for 27 years. He ordered the destruction
of the palace of his hated predecessor
and the laying of an elliptical foundation
on the site of the artificial lake, that is, the

Ponte-Vecchio
The Ponte Vecchio, the first segmental arch bridge built in the West, crosses the Arno
River in Florence and is an outstanding engineering achievement of the Middle Ages in
Europe. Its builder Taddeo Gaddi completed the bridge in 1345.
