3. Sequence of Tenses Согласование времен
• Если слова автора стоят впрошедшем времени, то при
переводе предложения из прямой
речи в косвенную, в косвенной
речи употребляются только формы
прошедшего времени в
соответствии с правилом
согласования времен.

Reported Speech
