1. Calibration after replacement for Atlas, Titan and VANTAGE

Kats Oct. 15 2008

2. Gradient section

• Power stage, DAC, PWM, Rectifier
– T2*, gain.param(=Strength), (fgm.param=G
tune)
• G-coil
– Ramp down magnet, shimming, eddy,…..all
sequence adjustment

3. RF cabinet

• ADM, RXM
– ADM Offset in case of VANTAGE. SPEEDER
adjustment.
• FSM, RF amp
– RF power calibration (DQA should be same
TGC 4300W and RFL 53.5dB), SAR
measurement
– RF cable length adjustment after RF amp
replacement.

4. RF coil

• WB coil
– Tune WB coil, cable length adjustment, RF power
calibration, SAR measurement, QA test for the WB coil
(Uniformity and SNR)
• Knee foot coil, Head splittable coil
– Tune the coil, cable length adjustment for A8 port side,
SAR measurement for the coil, QA test for the coil
(Uniformity and SNR)
• Atlas Head coil
– SAR measurement and QA test
• Other coils
– QA test

5. After quench

• DO NOT adjust eddy current. Wait 3 days
at least because magnet is too cold.
• Refilling 1000L at least. (G-coil centering),
Shimming, WB coil tuning, set CF.value,
T2*.DQA
• Ask customer not to use DWI until shield
temperature becomes normal.

6. Control cabinet

• RM board, MAC address setup bootptab
• GM and gating unit may require RMC
adjustment.
