wheel net
D2 holds net front and Calls
“REVERSE”, D1 passes against
pressure to D2
D1 reverses puck then returns
to front of net
F1 anchors and F2 supports
F3 can fill high lane, stretch or
swing wide

“OVER” vs.
1 man pressure
forecheck middle (I.e. 1-2-2 pressure)
1 MAN FC
D1 retrieves puck and passes to
D2
D2 releases net front and Calls
“OVER”,
D1 passes puck then returns to
front of net
F3 opens and anchors with F2
support…F3 must be there!
F1 can fills high lane, comes
across to support pucks

Read Play and Communicate!
“QUICK FEET” by defenseman
getting puck.
Forwards hustle hard, get
available as early as possible.
Stick on ice.
Firm accurate passes, tape to
tape.
Forwards should force longer
routes for opponents
forecheckers.
Quickest play is ussually the
best play!
Goalie must talk and make D
aware of what is happening.
Pucks shot around the boards
must be hard.
Pucks taken by our forwards
must be:
STOPPED
CONTROLLED
CLEARED
Forwards should work to get
forward motion, no standing still.
Talk between team mates is
necessary.
