Job’s Postponement Applied Rules
Rules Applicable to calculation of max allowable postpone date
Jobs with Run Hrs periodicity :
max +15% - convert to average days as per last 3-months average run hrs per month
Jobs with Months periodicity (program to control it and not allow other):
a) max + 5 months for jobs with periodicity ≥ 36-months
b) max + 3 months for jobs with periodicity ≥ 12-35 months
c) max + 2 months for jobs with periodicity ≥ 4-11 months
d) max + 1 months for jobs with periodicity ≥ 2-3month
e) max +10-days for ≤ 1-month

Job’s Postponement Request Prerequisite
Prerequisites
Running Hours to be updated before running of Jobs
Planning Selection Report (the last day of every month)
Step 1) Select Onboard Topics - choose Running Hours Input.
Step 2) Update and Save running Hours in all systems

1. From Onboard Reports select
Jobs Scheduling

2. Choose Jobs Planning Selection

3. Define date , Crew (Deck or
Engine) & Select All Locations to
display all jobs or Select the
particular Location(s) you wish
and other parameters so as to
display the desired Jobs.
Note: if you choose date: today,
You have all the Overdue Jobs,
which you can select with Select All
button on the top.

4. Run Report.
5. Select One or More Jobs to
be postponed

are marked the
already Overdue Jobs.

postpone (by clicking on each
job) & Press Postpone Jobs
button on Report’s header

Comments window to write in
any additional info or
comments about Jobs in this
Request. It is Optional and can
be left Empty.

It will be sent to office for
approval.
Note: On the left side of every
job (underneath Subsystem)
Multiplicity Number is
shown to prevent any
confusion for same jobs
under different mult.no.

• Yellow ball next to a Request
number in left Column means
Request is Not Finalized (Open).
• Green ball next to a Request
number in left Column means
Request is Finalized (Closed).
• Info Buttons
at header
displays the comment of
Requesting person onboard,
and the comment of Finalizing
person at the office, respectively.
• Info Button
next to
Postpone Date Box will display
the Maximum Allowed date
which is calculated by the
system, and Job’s applicable
rule according to Job’s periodicity.

Job’s Postponement Request – Questions
Q1) What is the meaning of Orange Colour on Jobs Title in jobs Planning Selection?
Ans: This job is Approved and included in a Finalized postponement request. It can not
be re-selected for new postponement and will be auto removed from selection. Relevant
error window will be displayed.
Q2) What is the meaning of Green & Red lighted Date Due?
Ans: This Job is included in a past Postponement Request, which has been Finalized by
office. RED indicates that postponement has been rejected & GREEN that it is
approved. in In case of rejection, the Due Date reverts to initial Planned Due Date
automatically.
In case of approval the Due Date is set by approving person in Office. Initially is
displayed vessel’s requested date, but it can be altered before final Approval at Office.
Approved Due Date has to be at least one day after planned and not later than max
allowable.

Job’s Postponement Request – Questions
Q3) What is the meaning of Light Yellow back coloured Jobs ?
Ans: These jobs are pending in a Job Card already in Progress and thus cannot be reselected.
Q4) Which type of Jobs can be selected for postponement?
Ans: All except Condition Jobs.

Job’s Postponement Request – Common Errors
1. Error Message displayed when Confirm Request is pressed.
Ans: Press OK and system will navigate you back in the relevant page/section, where the error is.

Enter Missing comment
To Change Postpone Date, see info button abt Max allowable Date, or Add
missing Comment. Press Confirm Request & Repeat until all errors be
cleared.

Job’s Postponement Request – Common Errors
2. For One or More Selected Jobs an Error message is displayed when Postpone
Job button is pressed.
Ans: This Job(s) is already included in another open Postponement Request,
therefore it will be auto removed from any additional selection. Press OK to
Continue.
