Statement on WildBrain Television Women in Production

commissions, and we are committed to doing more to advance the careers of female creators, writers,
producers, and directors. By building out recruitment and internal tracking programs, and collaborating with
forward-thinking production partners, we can help remove roadblocks and create pathways to better allow
talented women to success in the Canadian kids and family production industry.”

Steps
Auditing our gender representation annually to keep us accountable and on track
Reserved 50% of the annual funding from the WildBrain-CMF Kids & Family Development Program for projects led by
female creators
• Established in 2019, the WildBrain-CMF Kids & Family Development Program has dedicated 50% of annual funding to
projects led by female creators.
• Proud sponsor and sitting members of Women in Film & Television – Toronto (WIFT-T).
• Proud sponsor and sitting members of Women in Animation - Vancouver (WIA) who have recently set the goal of 50% gender
equality by 2024.

Our Future Commitment
WildBrain Television is committed to achieving gender parity in the
creative teams behind our original commissions by 2024.
• Specifically developing projects with women in the key roles of Director, Writer and/or
Producer
• Implementing one-to-one coaching and commitment of training resources for high-performing
women at the corporate and studio level.
• Continue to work with industry associations to advance gender-parity initatives1
