Що таке tag questions, їх значення і види
Tag questions або розділові питання – це речення, в якому питальна
частина (tag) стоїть після основної фрази і відділяється комою. Дуже
часто ви можете зустріти й інші назви цієї конструкції: «питання з
хвостиком», «хвостаті питання», tail questions або disjunctive questions
(розділові питання). Це пов’язано з тим що:
Одне зі значень слова tag – «кінчик хвоста у тварин», звідси і всі
«хвостаті» переклади;
Речення завжди розділене на дві частини, тому «розділові» питання.

Існує два види розділових питань. Один
формується з позитивного речення і негативного
«хвостика», а другий навпаки – з негативного
речення і позитивного «хвостика»:

Правила формування «хвостика» для Tag
Questions дуже прості:
«Хвостик» має те ж допоміжне дієслово, що і основне
речення;
В «хвостику» вказується особа, про яку говорилося в
основній частині речення за допомогою займенника
(he, it, they, we etc.).
