“SMS-language – the Language of Future”
The purpose of our work is to identify the features of the SMS language in English and Russian.
Problems:
• study the theoretical material: the features and history of the SMS language;
SMS devices; key rules for drawing up SMS - massages;
• disclose typical language irregularities in the messages (using the example of the Russian language);
• identify in which age category this language has the greatest use;
• determine the pros and cons of using SMS messages in the language.

Replacement of a syllable with a letter or a digit: B4 =Before mate = m8 2d4 =To die for 2l8 = Too late
Removal of vowels from a word without damage to recognition: btwn = between

Key rules for drawing up SMS-reductions:
To reduce words as far as possible.
To use a letter instead of a word where it is possible.
To use digits instead of letters where it is possible.
To use symbols.
To use abbreviations in long sentences.

Языковые особенности языка СМС в русском языке:
1. Графические особенности: «Privet! Kak dela?», « Edem domoj». «Го гулять?» «Privet polu4en». «Kowka»
2. Фонетические особенности: сёдня (сегодня), те (тебе), тя (тебя)
3. Словообразовательные особенности: «Добренькое утречко», «человечек», «приветик»; фотик, телик,
велик, мотик; флеха и треня; тел (телефон), норм (нормально), поч (почему), бро ( аналог от английского
brother), лан (ладно), спс (спасибо), кст (кстати); крч (короче); аббревиации: всм (в смысле), мб (может
быть).
