2. Easter Is A Bright Holiday of Christ’s Resurrection.

This holiday came to Russia from Byzantium
together with baptism at the end of the 10th
century. Since then, throughout Russia, this
Christian holiday has been widely, beautifully
and solemnly celebrated.

3. The Eve Of Easter.

On the eve of Easter all night vigils and a
procession around the church are held in all the
temples. By this time already in all houses
baked traditional holiday baking- cakes, which
symbolize the body of Christ , and painted
eggs.

4. Easter Custom

There
is a popular belief that wearing new
things on Easter will bring good luck
throughout the year.

5. “Christ Is Risen!”

“Christ is risen!”-” Truly risen!”. This custom of greetingcongratulation, accompanied by hugs and kisses, was
called “ Christosity.” The holiday of the Christian Easter
lasts seven days and is called the Holy Week or the
Seven.

6. Easter Eggs.

Egg
is traditionally painted in red colour
and shades.

7. Easter Cake

The symbol of the Christian was a cake. It
was baked high and round. On the top of
Easter Cake decorating the image of the
cross. It is believed that if the Easter
bread is successful , then everything will
be all right in the family.

8. Russian Custom

Easter
eggs were sent and gifts were
distributed to the relatives and completely
unfamiliar people, orphanages, hospitals
and prisons.
