History of baseball
The first mention was at the end of the
18th century. The game was first played
with homemade equipment and known
as 'Baste Ball'.

The game is played between two teams
that take turns playing attack and defense.
The goal of the game is to score more
points/runs than the opposing team. A
point is scored when a player of the
attacking team runs through all the bases.

then he must run to the next base. Players
can run only when the ball is not on the
base.

Baseball has been included in the Olympics
program since the 1992 Olympics. But from 2012
to 2020 Baseball was removed from the Olympic
Games.
At the last Games Japanese athletes won gold
medal.

Baseball in Russia
Baseball is not popular in Russia. Perhaps
because of the low speed of the game.

It is difficult to start playing baseball
in Russia. There are very few baseball
grounds and it is very expensive to
buy equipment.
