My hometown is Egorievsk. It is a small town in the Moscow region. It's a pretty young
city. At first it was not a city, but a village, which was called "the village of Vysokoe". It
was founded by Empress Catherine II in 1778.

Later it was named in honor of Saint Egoriy, that is, George the
Victorious.

The most important celebrity of
the city was the fairs that are held
here to this day.

Yegoryevsk is the homeland of such famous people as Bardygin, Uspensky and
many others.

The city is surrounded by beautiful forests and plains. The Guslitsa
river flows around the city.

My hometown is a very interesting place, which is worth visiting
