I am from the city of Novomichurinsk. It is a smalltown in the Ryazan region, located on the banks of
the Pronya River, 85 kilometers from the regional
center.

Novomichurinsk got its name in honor of the Russian biologist andbreeder I. V. Michurin.
In the spring of 1968, during the construction of the Ryazan State
District Power Plant, a workers' settlement was founded. At this time,
all social facilities of the village were located in prefabricated wooden
houses.
In May 1968, the construction of the first apartment building for the
builders of the GRES began.
