Brain
The Head
The head contains the brain, the mouth
and the chief sense organs – the eyes,
ears, and nose.
The skeleton of the head is called the skull. It is a frame
made up of 29 cranial and facial bones that enclose the
brain and form the face. The forehead, the temples, the
cheekbones, two jaws (mandible and maxilla) and the
mouth compose the face. The teeth and the tongue are
lodged in the mouth.

Neck and Torso
:
What is it contain?
The neck contains the cervical vertebrae, the pharynx, the larynx, and
important vessels and nerves.
The trunk consists of the spine, the chest, and the pelvic bones. The
diaphragm divides the trunk into the thoracic cavity and the abdominal cavity with
the pelvis at its lower end. Chest, also called thorax, is the part of the body between
the neck and the abdomen. Its sides are formed by the ribs, which are attached to the
breastbone in front and to the spine in back. The diaphragm, a strong dome-shaped
muscle, forms the base of the chest. A thick, vertical partition, called the
mediastinum, extends down the centre of the thorax. Enclosed within this partition
are the heart, the large blood vessels, the oesophagus, the lower part of the trachea,
and various glands and nerves. The lungs and their covering are suspended on either
side of the mediastinum.

Abdomen
The abdomen is a large body cavity between the thorax and the pelvic
cavity. A strong wall of muscle separates the abdomen from the thorax. But
no structure separates the abdomen from the pelvic cavity. The
abdominal organs include the stomach, liver, pancreas, intestines,
kidneys, adrenal glands, and spleen. A thin membrane known as the
peritoneum lines the entire abdominal cavity and covers most of the
abdominal organs. Two large blood vessels, the aorta and vena cava, run
along the spine and pass through the diaphragm and into the thorax. The
front wall of the abdomen consists of layers of sheetlike muscles attached
to the ribs above and the pelvic bones below. These muscles hold in the
abdominal organs and assist in bending and rotating the body trunk.

Pelvic Cavity
The pelvic cavity is surrounded by the pelvis and
contains the inferior portion of the large intestine,
bladder, uterine tubes, and reproductive organs.
