There are many prominent Indian personalities
who left a good impact not only in India but all
around the world. They improved India's cultural
and political image. Some of these personalities
are: 1) B.R. Ambedkar
2) A.P.J Abdul kalam
3) Indira Gandhi
4) Sarojini Naidu

B.R. Ambedkar is also
known as babasaheb
ambedkar.
He was born on 14th april
1891 in madhya pradesh.
He completed his
schooling from eliphinstone
college, mumbai.
When he was 15 years
old,his marriage to a 9 y/o
ramabai was arranged.

He is recognized as the founding
fathers of republic India.
He served as the first law
minister of India.
He predominantly campaigned
against the social discrimination
with Dalits(untouchables),
the Hindu caste system
He was also associated with
Dalit-buddhist movement.

A.P.J Abdul kalam is also
known as the missile man.
He was born on 15th oct 1931
in Tamil nadu.
After completing his
education at the Schwartz
Higher Secondary School,
Ramanathapuram, he went on to
attend Saint Joseph's College,
the University of Madras, from
where he graduated
in physics in 1954.

He was an aerospace and defense scientist
who was involved in development of India's
first satellite vehicle SLV III.
He also worked for ISRO(Indian national
space research organization).
In 2002, he was appointed as the 11th
president of India.

Indira gandhi is known as
the ‘iron lady of india’.
She was born on 19th nov,
1917 in Allahabad.
She was the daughter of
Jawaharlal Nehru the first
prime minister of india.
She was an Indian politician
and central figure of Indian
national congress.

Indira gandhi was the prime minister of
india during 1966-77 and 1980-84.
She was the first and, to date only female
prime minister of india.
During the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, her
government supported Bangladesh Liberation
War which led to the formation of a new
country, Bangladesh.

Sarojini Naidu is regarded as
the “Nightingale of India”
She was born on 13th Feb,
1879 in Hyderabad.
She completed her
schooling from madras and
later went to London followed
by Cambridge for further
education.

Sarojini naidu was a nationalist and a
poetess from uttar pradesh, india.
She was the first woman to become
the Governor of Uttar Pradesh State.
She was awarded the Kaisar-e-Hind
Medal by the British government for
her work during the plague epidemic
in India, which she later returned in
protest over the April 1919 Jallianwala
Bagh massacre.

India is a great country from historical point
of view.
In my presentation I showed a few
personalities whose determination and
bravery are applauded by all.
Even though I mentioned some of the
legends but that would never deny the
existence of other indian
musicians,artists,politicians,freedom
fighters,etc that were popular and known in
their era.
