General ideas about globalization.
In the twenty-first century, one of the main topics discussed at the
international level is the process of globalization. The issue of
integration and unification of various spheres of public life has
become important for many countries. However we should notice
that developed countries win more from globalization than third
world countries. The main reason for it is that backward countries
strongly depend on developed countries in many aspects. But what
could we say about Russia? What benefits does it get from
globalization? What drawbacks have appeared with the beginning
of such process? Let’s look how globalization influences on all
spheres of our life.

Advantages:
*High rate of economic growth;
* The appearance of a wide range of
products;
* Scientific and technical development;
* Growth of incomes of the population;
* Improving the quality of life;
* Overcoming the demographic decline.

Disadvantages:
*Capital outflow (all kinds of offshore
companies)
* Illegal migration, which affects the emergence
of social conflicts, the growth of crime, etc.
*the Destruction of domestic economic
business (small and medium-sized)
*Unemployment, some professions are no
longer in demand;
* The emergence of global problems ( for
example, terrorism, ecology)

Disadvantages:
Advantages:
* Leads to mixing cultures, so many
countries are losing their uniqueness
and individuality
* Mass culture becomes the most
popular
* A huge risk that countries will be
competing with each other
* The most developed countries can
seriously influence on other countries
via mass media
* Availability to explore traditions and
customs of all countries (even for
people that life in regions)
* Unique cultural features are highly
valued
* Each person has an opportunity to
choose which culture he/she wants to
stick to
* Creating cultural heritage all over the
world
* Getting high education abroad is
widely available now

Social sphere
Talking about social sphere, I can say, that its quite difficult to find
there drawbacks of globalization. The process of globalization gave
us an opportunity to communicate with residents of different
countries freely. Due to the fact that most children learn English at
school, youngsters have no language barrier while communicating.
Moreover, we can not only chat with our online-friends, even visit
them almost every month, because nowadays travelling abroad is
becoming more and more convenient. All in all, thanks to
globalization people are becoming more and more outgoing and
sociable, nobody is afraid of new meetings.

As you can see, process of globalization has both pluses and
minuses, that’s why the opinion of scientists about such
situation is uncertain. What about my personal attitude, I
suppose, globalization helped us to integrate in many world
processes, that were quite beneficial for all of us. However, we
should not forget about several drawbacks of globalization.
