Engineers were originally referred toas people who control military
vehicles, weapons masters, and
later fortification masters. This
concept originated in Italy in the
middle ages and the title of
engineer was carried by Leonardo
da Vinci. The first civil engineers in
the 16th century were the builders

then in England and other countries

appeared a century later.
