According to statistics, in the number of officially
registered cases of observation of ghosts, residents
of England are rightfully in the first place, this is
confirmed by the testimony of trustworthy
witnesses and police reports.

3. ghost bus

Most of all unusual legends
historically formed in London, the
heart of England. Many locals and
tourists saw there the ghost of a red
double-decker bus, which rushes
through the streets with great speed,
and without a driver. They say that in
1934 there was a fatal accident, the
bus driver was the culprit. By the
way, the bus itself mysteriously
disappeared after the accident. Since
then, he often appears even at night
on the streets of London and blinds
the drivers, causing them to turn
sharply.

4. Jack the Ripper

Surely many of you have heard
of Jack the Ripper, the famous
serial killer? So, his ghost can
also be found in London. To
do this, at midnight on
December 31, walk along the
Westminster Bridge. Just when
the new year comes, a ghostly
figure appears on the bridge
and jumps off of it directly into
the Thames. Legend has it - it
was on the eve of the new year
in 1888 that the Ripper
dropped from the bridge and
died. Since then, his ghost
repeats this suicide every year.

5. Plakli Village

This village is considered the place with
the largest number of ghosts in the UK.
They say that there are from 12 to 15 here.
Residents of the village do not get tired of
telling tourists the legends about local
spirits of a robber, a hanged man, a woman
in white. And travelers come here to make
sure they are reliable. They say that an
empty carriage drawn by ghostly horses
even rides around the city. Film crews
often come to the village to explore this
place, as well as journalists from prestigious
publications, some of whom confirm that
there is something mysterious in the
village.

6. Highgate Cemetery

Highgate Cemetery is perfect for
a horror movie. In the sixties of
the last century, the London
newspapers wrote about several
very strange incidents - a vampire
was allegedly wound up here,
attacking the pedestrians who
had not been able to leave the
neighborhood of the cemetery
before darkness. A lot of amazing
things happened here, even there
were witnesses who watched as
the living dead appear from the
graves of darkness ... Here you
can also find the grave of Karl
Marx.

red caps
These little creations are often
found in the works of English
folklore. Mostly live in
abandoned castles and are
described as undersized,
vicious creatures with red eyes
and caps. Carry a scythe or an
ax with them and constantly
kill misguided travelers. They
kill constantly, because
according to the legend, they
paint their caps with the blood
of the victims, and if the cap
dries up, the creature dies.

8. Castle Quarry Bank Mill.

The castle is just teeming
with ghosts. When it was
erected, a team of
builders died, so the
whole team remained in
the castle. From these
spirits you should not
expect noble soaring in
the air and inconsolable
sobbing, their jokes are
rude, and swearing is
heard in especially
stormy nights through the
castle.

9. hairy arms

At the beginning of the 20th century traffic
accidents became more frequent on the road
near the village. All the drivers claimed that at
one moment they felt like "hairy hands
grabbed the steering wheel and pulled it
aside." In July 1927, the military doctor I.N.
Halbie lost control of his motorcycle and
died. Later - in August of the same year - the
legend got into the local newspapers, and
after the publication and in the London
newspapers became a national sensation.
Residents associated the legend of hairy arms
with the man who died in that area.
