• Saint Patrick was important because
he established 300 churches in
Ireland and increased the popularity
of Christianity.

Shamrock – The Shamrock is a symbol of St. Patrick’s Daybecause they are found all over the country of Ireland. A
famous legend says that Patrick used its three leaves to
explain the Trinity (Father-Son-Holy Spirit)
4 Leaf Clover – Four leaf clovers are very hard
to find. If you find one you will have good
luck!

Leprechauns – Leprechauns are little men that dress likeshoemakers. The Leprechauns are paid with gold coins.
The gold coins are then added to a large pot. If you catch a
Leprechaun they must show you where they hid the pot of
gold.
