• Oxygen becomes toxic under high pressure. That is why
special gases with lower concentration of oxygen are provided
for dives deeper than 42m.
• In 2016 Cem Karabay, from Turkey, settled a new world record
for the longest dive, with a total of 192 hours, 42 minutes and
42 second spent underwater.
