• 1822-1841 – Russian missions to London, Rome, Berlin,
Florence and Vienna
• 1841-1853 – a special envoy to the Wurttemberg court
• since 1850 – a vice agent at the Allied Council in Frankfurt

• April of 1856 – was appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs
