Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot CourtCompetition is the oldest (since 1959)
and the most prestigious law competition
uniting thousands of law students from
over 550 law schools of more than 80 countries.
Each year is devoted to a hypothetical legal dispute
between states raising topical issues of public
international law, which are addressed by students via oral
and written pleadings.
Competition is composed of two stages: national rounds
and international rounds held in Washington, DC, United
States of America.
3. What is the topic of Jessup 2016?
The present-year case deals with issues of:legality of mass surveillance programs,
espionage, conducted by special missions,
cyber-attacks on law firms and media,
preventive detention and
admissibility of secret documents, leaked
by whistleblowers.

Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University became the NationalChampion of XXI Ukrainian National Rounds for the first time in its
history (participating since 2003)
