The sisters Sklodowski - Maria and Bronislava - agreed in
turn to work for several years as governesses in order to get
education in turns. Maria worked for several years as a
governess educator while Bronislava studied at a medical
institute in Paris. Then, when Bronislava became a doctor,
in 1891 Maria, at the age of 24, was able to travel to Paris
Maria Sklodowska was born in Warsaw in the
family of the teacher Vladislav Sklodowski, where,
in .addition to Mary, three more daughters and a
son grew up. Her sisters and brother were Zofia ,
Jozef , Bronislava and Helena
