•Live in caves.
• Some dragons
can be good
(guards).

Medusa
•Known from Greek
myths.
•Half woman half
snake.
• Tusks on mouth.
•Turns people to
stone.
•Snakes for hair.
• Hands are clawed
and made of brass.

Chimera
•Body of a goat,
lion and a snake.
•Very big.
•Breathes fire.
•Destroys whole
cities.
•Created to
destroy people.
•Dangerous.

Unicorn
• One horned horse.
• Magical properties.
•White or silver linked to
the moon.
•Horn has medicinal
properties.
•Spiral shaped horn.
• Live in forests and
woodland.

Griffin
• Half lion half eagle.
• Front legs have talons
like an eagle.
• Beak is curved.
• Sometimes has a tail of
a snake or a scorpion.
• Protects and defends
things.
• Sometimes spotted
like a leopard.

• Choose a creature we have just talked about.
• Write a description for the class without
telling them what it is.
• Read your description to the class can they
guess what it is?
