ТHE HISTORY OF THE FACULTY
In connection with the lack of specialists in physical culture and sport of
Kuzbass in 1964 was opened the faculty of physical education, headed by Lev
Zobov
The first set of students in 1964 amounted to 50 people for full-time office
In 1964 he established the Department of sports disciplines.

NEW HISTORY
A new stage of development of physical culture and sports of the Kemerovo
state University is associated with the discovery in June 1995 of the faculty of
physical culture and sports (Dean A. Y. Rodin) on a specialty 022300 "Physical
culture and sport"
Currently the faculty has three departments: "Theoretical bases of physical
culture" , "biomedical foundations of physical education and sports
"Department and associate Professor of "Physical education"

6. The faculty prepares

THE FACULTY PREPARES
Physical culture and sports. Qualification of graduates: specialist on physical
culture and sports;
for bachelor courses:
Physical education, orientation (profile) – sports and Wellness technologies.
Duration of study: full – time- 4 years, correspondence – 5 years.
Physical culture for persons with deviations in health status(adaptive physical
education), orientation (profile) adaptive physical education. Duration of study:
full – time- 4 years.
teacher education, orientation (profile) – physical culture and life safety (from
2015). Duration of study: full – time- 5 years.

7. The structure of the faculty of physical culture and sports

THE STRUCTURE OF THE FACULTY OF
PHYSICAL CULTURE AND SPORTS
The main purpose of the faculty is the organization, scientific and
methodological support of the educational process of training of specialists with
higher education for licensed in KemGu fields and professions, scientificpedagogical personnel of high qualification, as well as performing fundamental
search and applied scientific researches.
Dean's office organizational center for the management of the faculty headed by
the Dean. The Dean's office performs the functions of coordination and
administrative support of the educational process, record keeping.
The General management of the faculty is managed by an elected representative
body – the scientific Council of the faculty.

Educational material and sports base of the faculty includes: three modern
sports hall; 4 rooms sports facilities: chess club, water tourism club
"Burevestnik", 2 Lounges; indoor shooting range; ski; outdoor volleyball court;
swimming pool; athletics; MBU "Rehabilitation center for children and
teenagers with limited possibilities "the Flamingo".
Of particular interest to students cause of educational practice in the form of
Hiking and recreation "Podyakovo", located 35 km from the city.
The faculty has a unique Laboratory for medico-biological problems of physical
culture and sports, which are morpho-functional and psychophysiological testing
of students and leading athletes of the Kuzbass.

Championships in different kinds of gymnastic all-round.
Lapshin N. – team member of the RSFSR, the USSR champion
Kharitonov G. member of the national team of the RSFSR, the USSR champion
Kodanev V. - member of the national team of the RSFSR, the USSR champion
Glebova A. – member teams of the USSR and RSFSR, USSR champion in team
classification, a repeated participant of the international competitions
Rodin Alexander – the champion of Siberia and the Far East
