Affiliate Review
Based on the results of the WANO peer review in September
2017, two inconsistencies were found in the documentation :
There are no locations for defective lines;
on one site the inspection of the sling was carried out with
a violation of the inspection time - 20 days instead of 10 days.

Corrective actions
In order to exclude the repetition of events with load-lifting
mechanisms at the ANPP, they were discussed and discussed
with crane operators, slingers and responsible persons,
events from the WANO database :
WER MOW 2016-184 – the fall of the auxiliary lifting
mechanism with the carrying capacity of 20 t of overhead
crane to the low-pressure rotor of the turbine unit at Rostov
NPP;
WER MOW 2015-189 – failure of the crane of the turbine
hall during lifting operations at the Loviisa NPP (Finland);
Falling stator generator (500t) when it is shipped from a
regular place in the engine room to a transport trolley at the
Arkansas-1 nuclear power plant.

About the ANPP Lifetime
Related to the Armenian NPP Lifetime expiry, the activities
below are being performed at our plant
a) Investigations of lifting equipment have been performed
by a specialized organization to justify the residual
lifetime in compliance with the requirements of new
norms and regulations.
b) Following the investigations, the analysis and evaluation
of the residual lifetime have been performed
c) Preliminary conclusions, with feasibility studies for the
operating lifetime extension till modernization have been
provided.
d) Based on the results of conclusions, relevant decisions
were made
e) Projects for lifting, equipment modernization with the
implementation dates specified have been developed
