The delegation of Italy regrets the fact that in today's world
corruption has spread to many areas of our activity and inhibits
the development of states in political, economic, social and
cultural spheres and greatly appreciates the role of educational
institutions in combating corruption, which also covered the
field of education as its pernicious influence in many countries
of the world, considering this measure as one of the most
effective in solving the issue of corruption

Tell briefly about the problem on the global scale. Why is it that
important?
Corruption has always created problems in the development of
many countries, and Italy in particular. The presence of corruption
in education threatens the efficiency of existing personnel in
various public institutions and causes an outflow of capable and
talented people who have suffered as a consequence of the
corrupted system from the country. The Italian Republic is deeply
disturbed by the fact that high rate of corruption can provoke total
moral decay of society, increase in crime, instability in political
and economic spheres of countries and other problems.

What have you done so far to improve the situation?
The Italian government, considering its important mission of
eradication of corruption in the country, makes efforts to effectively
combat corruption through educational sector, teaching the younger
generation about business ethics and dangerous impact of corruption.
Substantially, according to Transparency International, anti-corruption
associations in schools have been helpful in addressing graft in Italy.
There is a significant number of anti-corruption clubs in Italian schools
and universities as a part of government policy to promote the ethics of
honesty and moral uprightness among children and to demonstrate
them how deeply corruption might be embedded in the public sector.
This implies that our country is veritably concerned about the
aforementioned question and is willing to assist any state opposing the
issue of corruption.

What are the decisions that you offer?
The Italy calls upon to:
1. begin to educate the younger generation in the spirit of the
fight against corruption, taking such measures as:
a) The creation of anti-corruption clubs in schools,
b) Active implementation of these ideas in the educational
program,
c) Holding the events dedicated the harmful effects of
corruption;
2. increase control over corruption in the educational sector in
order to prevent the outflow of capable staff.
