Chapter 1. Country and organization overview
Republic of Uzbekistan.
Located in the heart of Central Asia.
Population: over 38 million.
Uzbekistan is continuously developing its transport and
aviation infrastructure.
Samarkand is one of the oldest cities in the world with
more than 2700 years of history.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site and major cultural and
tourist center.

Samarkand International Airport
serves both domestic and
international flights and is one of the
key airports in Uzbekistan.
Samarkand International Airport is
the second largest airport in
Uzbekistan after Tashkent
International Airport.
Samarkand International Airport is
operated by Air Marakanda, which
manages the airport under a publicprivate partnership.
Equipped with modern airport
infrastructure to support the safe
and efficient operation of aircraft.
Provides passenger services in
accordance with international
aviation standards.

The Uzaeronavigation Center is the
national Air Navigation Service
Provider of the Republic of
Uzbekistan. The enterprise was
established in 1991.
It provides air navigation services
throughout the country's airspace
and at Uzbekistan's international
airports.
The organization is responsible for
the operation and maintenance of
Communication, Navigation, and
Surveillance (CNS) systems, as well
as Air Traffic Management (ATM)
infrastructure.
The Samarkand Air Traffic Control
Center is one of the regional units of
the Uzaeronavigation Center.

organization.
Modernization of aging CNS equipment to improve
operational reliability.
Continuous improvement of preventive
maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
Keeping up with rapidly evolving ICAO standards
and new CNS technologies.
Enhancing the professional skills of CNS engineers
through advanced training and international
knowledge exchange.
Improving the reliability and availability of CNS
systems to ensure safe and efficient air traffic
operations.

Chapter 3. Conclusion
This training program provides an
excellent opportunity to enhance
professional knowledge and practical skills
in Aerodrome CNS Engineering.
The exchange of knowledge and
experience with Korean experts and
participants from other ICAO Member
States will contribute to professional
development.
The knowledge gained during this course
will support the improvement of the
operation and maintenance of CNS
systems.
The application of new knowledge and
best practices will contribute to safer,
more efficient, and more reliable air
navigation services in Uzbekistan.
