HISTORY
OF CREATION
It is located in the federal city of Saint Petersburg, as part of the
Petrodvorets district. On the southern shore of the Gulf of Finland
(Baltic Sea)
The founder is Emperor Peter I. The idea originated
around 1705, and active construction began in 1714
Peterhof was the imperial residence until 1917, and after the destruction during the
Great Patriotic War, it was restored and turned into a museum reserve
