3. Future Simple – will + V1

1. For decisions made at the moment of speaking
(It is raining outside. I will take my umbrella.)
2. For future predictions about what we think or believe will happen. (I
think you will get a good mark.)
3. For promises, threats, hopes, requests, offers.
(Will you help me with my computer?)
4. For actions / events which will definitely happen in the future.
(You will write a test in English on the 5th of December.)
Note!
After think / believe / hope / promise / probably we use Future Simple.
We use these words with the Future Simple: tomorrow / the day after
tomorrow / tonight / soon / next week / in a week / next month / in a
month / next year / in a year

4. Be going to

1. For predictions based on what we know or what we can see.
(The score is 4:1. Zenith is going to win.)
1. For future plans, intentions, ambitions.
(I am going to go to the sea in summer.)
Choose the Future Simple or ‘to be going to’.

Future Continuous - for actions which will be in progress at a
certain time in the future. (This time tomorrow I will be teaching
my pupils.)
Future Perfect – for actions which will have finished at a certain
time in the future. (By this time tomorrow you will have had
breakfast.)
Put the verb into the Future Continuous or the Future Perfect.
have come(come) home by 7 o’clock tomorrow.

6. Future Perfect Continuous – will have been V-ing
