TTEx. 4 a) Tell your partner three things you found interesting
about obentos. Is it healthy food? Give reasons.
Obento is a very old Japanese food tradition. It has been
popular since the 5 th century.
Japanese mothers try their best to create different food
shapes for school bentos. Food can have a shape of animals,
flowers, cartoon characters.
Obento is healthy food, since it contains everything that our
body needs: rice, meat or fish, vegetables, and fruit.
8.
TTEx. 4 b) Describe the obentos in the pictures. Which is your
choice? Why?
The first picture displays a variety of vegetables, rice,
meatballs, and pasta. Obentos are known for their
cute animal shapes. The second picture showcases a
rice creation in the form of a panda. The third
picture exhibits vegetables, shrimp, and rice cleverly
molded into football shapes. Personally, I would
select the obento from the first picture because it is
adorable and incorporates diverse ingredients.
