1. How to become a citizen of Russian Federation

2. Introduction

• Russian Federation is a very big and
beautiful country with many nations
living here. However, it's quite hard to
become a citizen of it.
• There are 3 stages you need to follow
to become one:
1. Legal entry
2. TRP and PR
3. Admission to citizenship

3. Stage 1: Legal entry

• First of all, you need to get to the Russian Federation
legaly. You need to apply for a visa in your country,
before you get here. Then, where you are here, you
need to get migration accounting on the arrival place, a
notification about your placement at the moment, that
you need to update every 90 days.
• If you country has visa-free regime with Russia, usually
there will be a "90 of 180" rule for you. You can stay in
the Russian Federation only for 90 days, but then you
need to get back to your country for another 90 days.

4. Stage 2 step 1: TRP

Temporary residence permit is a document that allows you
to live and work in Russia for only 3 years. You cant extend
it, but you must get it before you get the PR.
First you submit an application to the territorial authority. It is
better to submit it in the beggining of the year, because
authority set a number of applications that can be given in
year.
Then you must complete medicine tests in the state clinic.
There you will be checked for deseases such as HIV,
tubercoulosis, leprosy
And then one of the hardest parts: a big examination that
will make sure you know russian, laws and history:
Literacy: Grammar and Vocabulary, reading, listening test,
letter and speaking
Laws: The constitution, rights and duties and migration laws
History: Historical figures, events and even dates.
Some of this things cant complete even a citizen of Russia,
and all this just for little paper.

5. Stage 2 step 2: PR

• Residence permit is a new document you can recieve if
you have lived in Russia for 1 year using the TRP. It
allows you to live as long as you want for 5 years in
Russia and even can be extended.
Conditions to get it are:
1. To Live by TRP for 1 year or more
2. To have a legal money source enough to reside
3. To Confirm a proficiency in Russian at higher level (at
least A2)
• If all of this is correct, then you can send an application
before 2-6 month of TRP overdue

6. Stage 3: Admission to citizenship

Finally, after you did all this, you can become a
citizen of the Russain Federation by folowing this
final steps:
1. You must have lived in Russia for 5 years by PR
continiously, which means u didnt live Russia for
more than 3 month.
2. Again you need to provide certificate that confirm
you have legal money source such as bank
statement
3. You need to renounce your current citizenship
with official letter
4. Again you need to have certificate that confirm
you know russian language passing state russian
test.
Finally, you can fill out an application in "GosUslugi",
collect all the necessary documents and send them
to the Minisrty of Internal Affair's
