The main character of the film is French police officer
Hubert Fiorentini (Jean Reno), known for his tough
personality and unconventional methods. After many years of
service, he learns that his former lover from Japan has died,
leaving him an unexpected inheritance — a 19-year-old
daughter, Yumi (Reiko Hiraswe), of whom he was completely
unaware. Hubert travels to Japan to deal with the inheritance
but soon finds himself caught up in dangerous adventures
involving the mafia, money, and protecting his newly found
daughter.
