The NBA is comprised of 30 basketball
teams across North America
featuring the best basketball
players in the world.
• There are 120+ international players in the NBA, with 60+
from Europe including OG Anunoby (pictured) and Jeremy
Sochan from the UK.
• In the UK there are approximately 1.4 million people who
actively play basketball. (Source: YouGov)
• Teams worth average $2.1 billion (£1.6 billion) each
• The NBA has 6.9M social media followers from the U.K.
across all @NBA channels.
• The United Kingdom has hosted more regular season games
(9) than any other country in Europe.

take on this week…
• Find your nearest basketball court – can you organise some
shooting practise with friends?
• Many NBA players find meditation useful for their wellbeing.
Can you follow a short, daily meditation routine for a week?
• How many careers can you find related to sport? Find a job
you have not heard of before to share with your class.
• How can you put an NBA Value into action? Choose a Value
to focus on today: integrity, teamwork, respect or innovation.
