Introduction:• Hello everyone! Today, I am excited to talk to you about
one of the most significant religious holidays celebrated
by Muslims around the world

Eid al-Adha• also known as the Festival of Sacrifice. Origin of Eid al-Adha: Eid alAdha commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to
sacrifice his son Isma'il (Ishmael) as an act of obedience to God's
command. According to Islamic tradition, just as Ibrahim was about to
carry out this command, God provided a ram to be sacrificed instead.
This event symbolizes faith, devotion, and the importance of following
God's will. When is Eid al-Adha Celebrated? Eid al-Adha is celebrated
on the 10th day of Dhul-Hijjah, the last month of the Islamic lunar
calendar. The date varies each year based on the sighting of the moon
and can fall anywhere between July and September

(khutbah). One of the most significant aspects of Eid al-Adha is the ritual
sacrifice (Qurbani). Families who can afford to do so sacrifice an animal—
usually a sheep, goat, cow, or camel. The meat is then divided into three parts:
one-third is given to the needy, one-third is shared with family and friends,
and the remaining third is kept for the family. In addition to the prayers and
sacrifice, it is a time for feasting, family gatherings, and community
celebrations. People dress in their finest clothes, exchange gifts, and extend
greetings of "Eid Mubarak," which means "Blessed Eid."
5.
Importance of Charity• Eid al-Adha emphasizes the importance of charity and compassion. By
sharing the meat from the Qurbani, families not only celebrate their
blessings but also support those who are less fortunate. This act
reinforces the values of generosity and community spirit in Islam .

Conclusion:• In conclusion, Eid al-Adha is more than just a religious
observance; it is a time for reflection, gratitude, and community. As
we celebrate this festive occasion, let us remember the values of
sacrifice, compassion, and generosity that it teaches us. Thank you
for your attention, and I wish you all a wonderful Eid al-Adha!
